Time to get the arse into gear, I've got another month before new memberships are accepted, so I can get everything ready to rock and roll in that time, might even see some sunshine by then as well, a few things to do, and a few things to sell as well I think.. looking forward to the Yateley Angling Centre evening on thursday, might have to add a few little bits into the tackle box, would seem rude not too.
With things on the up, I hope to be updating my rather slow blogger, and get things back on track!
Tight lines guys.

Nickyb's blogger...
Thanks for dropping by, this blogger is about my up's and down's, tear's and laughter that my interests can bring as I go about them in my own fashion..
This Blogger started through my fishing, and I enjoyed many a happy day enjoying everything that comes along with that, but times change, job changes, and wanting to do different things was to see the fishing gear making way for Motorcycles, and that is how you find me...
Hope you enjoy the Blog.
Nick.

2013, A new year, and a new challenge!!
Happy new year guys, hope 2013 is good to you...
I got the rods out, on a nice bright 1st of the 1st 2013!, and it was lovely to be out fishing, and just enjoying the peace and quiet.
Its been a while, since my last trip, and arriving at the lake, I did wonder if the water was still going to be in the lake banks, or half way across the car park, but pulling in, I could see the water was still within the banks, just.
So a quick look around, and a swim was soon being set up for my day.

| A nice bright day, to start my 2013. |
Sitting back in the chair, gave me time to reflect on what had gone on in the last few months, with the change of job, and the starting of a new direction with the new one, and going back to fishing on the weekends, but never mind, I'm sure it'll be fine...!
The rolled by and apart from the odd bleep, the sounds of the birds, and the field mice making the dash across the swim, it was all quiet. no fish, but nice day, and of course, finally got to try out those shimano's!!! hahahaha.
Tight lines, and all the best.

Sorry it's been slow on the Blogger, but things will be for a while, due to having to find a new job, which will mean Mon-Fri no doubt, and being back on the weekend fishing fiasco, really dont fill me with joy at all, but needs must.
On a plus side, all the gear looks fantastic, with rig boards full, all the reading material is out, and I do feel like getting out on these cold mornings and having a go, albeit limited, due to my lakes being frozen over! hahaha.
But never mind, I'm sure things will sort themselves out, and I'll be back working, and then fishing as soon as posiable.
So if I dont drop in before, Happy Christmas, and a prosperous new year to all, tight lines!

Reading sometimes helps!
I had a look at the reading material that lives on my bookshelf, and found myself having a thumb through some of the books, there is of course some new ones, Forgotten Chapters, is a stunning book, and well worth a read, or 2,3... and with the History of Yateley book out, that will look great on the shelf, once its been read!
But its some of the older books that keep coming out, a real favourite is Jim Gibbinson Gravel Pit Carp, or Terry Hearn's, In Pursuit of the Largest, while Julian Cundiff with Practical Carp Fishing, really helps to get back to basics, with Short Session Success, helps fire up the soul to get out and get fishing.
So there is some rather good books ready to be re-read this week, it might not be bankside fishing, but at least the mind will be getting a good helping of PMA!!!
All the best
Nick.

Sorted!
Been really busy with work, and so the fishing has taken a back seat, but with all the goodies that where ordered all safely in my hands, I think a days fishing is well earned!!!!
The new ProCarp Dark does look good (nice line lay too..). Will be great to use these reels at last, and try out the baitrunner spool.
The new dark side leads look great, and just get better when wet, The PVA stock is once again full, so them PGB pellets will be put to good use all through the winter with ease.
Now just need get a fish on the bank, and end the run of blanks....
All the best.

Not been out fishing, but have been stocking up ready for a really good winter campaign. The new Shimano's are still awaiting their first outing, but that should be very soon, once spooled up with the new Gardner Pro Carp Dark line, which should suit the Heath water very well indeed...
A few metres of PVA, 60 to be honest, will help with getting the pellet mix out, and the new dark leads will give me another boost in confidence that every thing is blending in with that lovely dark silty lake bed, just need to make the hook bait stand out, and the white pop ups from, as always PGB should do the trick there....
Cant wait, but will have to just a week or two, as there are a few other things to catch up on, before those Sonik's can once again be bending into a fish or two!
Tightest of lines to all you out fishing this time of year..
