Nickyb's blogger...

Thanks for dropping by, this blogger is about my up's and down's, tear's and laughter that my interests can bring as I go about them in my own fashion..

This Blogger started through my fishing, and I enjoyed many a happy day enjoying everything that comes along with that, but times change, job changes, and wanting to do different things was to see the fishing gear making way for Motorcycles, and that is how you find me...
Hope you enjoy the Blog.

Nick.

All the best

Quick update on the Zed....

Been a bit busy with work, but have managed to get the spanners out on the bike,
A job that had been hanging around for a while was the rear shock, I brought a ZXR unit, stripped it, and had the spring powdercoated, checked the bearings, gave it a good clean, and with the help of the abba stand, had it fitted in a very short time, straight in, no mods needed, and looks rather good, shame its hidden away.
Rear swingarm will be coming out at some point, as its paint is shocking, but, hope to get out and enjoy some dry days, and putting a few miles on it...
Be lucky, catch you all soon.

So, do you stay in a tent when marshalling...?

Well, I did, but soon got fed up with tents, and air mattresses, A camper was needed, and a camper is what I have...

It started out as just a Transit Connect Tourneo, but after a few long evenings, and weekends it was soon converted into this..

The basic lay out sorted, time to start fixing wood and getting the project going.

All fixed in ready for covering.

Power sockets fitted.

Carpet going on well.
3" High Density foam covered in vinyl, some floor tiles, lights and ready.

To lay out for a well earned sleep in the camper...

It is one its second full season now, and has had an awning added, but apart from that stayed as is, and does a really good job.
So if you see a white connect covered in race stickers doing about 60mph heading towards a track, that could well be me...

Out and about.

Its been rather busy...

I had new bearings fitted to the wheels, along with new tyres, and as the MOT was due, had a nice little ride down to a friends shop for the test.
Not the best of rides, as it was the hottest weekend of the year so far, and everyone wanted to be down that part of the country, but I made my way down, enjoying the fact I was back out on the bike...
No hassle with the MOT, and i soon found myself riding around that lovely town of Swanage, enjoying the views, and the sunshine.

I was soon on my way home, and as the roads had cleared slightly I was able to relax and enjoy the ride back, which was a much nicer way to ride.
The bike performed faultlessly and soon had me home safe and sound.

With Easter's long weekend, I took a chance to get out on Sunday, and put a few more miles on the tyres, a really pleasant ride around the local bike roads, not fast, but spirited, and was soon enjoying the twists and turns, and the bark of the engine and of course the pop and bang from the exhaust on the over run...

So, I've been out, had some fun, and above all enjoyed the Buell once again.
I'll be changing the oil soon, and looking at a new tail tidy which I'll be fabricating in the workshop, but other than that, looking forward to a ride out in some dry weather again soon.

All the best guys.
Happy travels.
